ODE TO THE RED KATYDID

Paracyrtophyllus Robustus

AN ACTUAL PHOTOGRAPH TAKEN ON THE MIRROR OF MY CAR~!

Several years ago we had a plague of Red Katydids. Now those things only come out in force about each seven years. But they are huge and they make up for those years they missed; big, ugly, loud, hungry and want go away is the best way to describe them. They eat almost anything they come to, especially my plants and they love roses. So in desperation I wrote a short poem to give them warning~!

ODE TO THE RED KATYDID

Oh what is that terrible noise I hear,
A rasping noise that hurts my ears.

(katy did, katy didn’t,)

It’s bugs, bugs everywhere.
It’s bugs bugs jumping in the air.

(katy did, katy didn’t,)

Bugs bugs, on our terra.
On the floor, on my chair,
hopping here, hopping there,
chopping noise, as they tear
my roses apart, which I hold so dear.
I’m telling you, so listen here,
gonna kill them bugs, that I swear.

Katy did, Katy didn’t.

Katy did, Katy shouldn’t~!

Katy did, Katy didn’t.

KATY DEAD~!!!!
