END OF THE HUNT
Boudreaux and Thibodeaux got their guns,
gone hunting for bear, and a little fun.
Walked down the road just past Breaux Bridge,
But came to a stop, upon a ridge.
There they saw a sign, beside the road,
where a broken wagon lost it’s load.
Around this spot new tracks were cleft,
The sign only said:, “BEAR LEFT”.
They are no fools, but wise “Coonass’ ”,
around this wreck they need not pass.
“Tis a folly, we need not go on”
They turned around and went back home.
